Host Support

  • Hertfordshire-wide virtual support network
  • As numbers grow, creating groups at District/Borough level

Guests and Refugee Support

  • Provide opportunities for refugees to come together for mutual peer support in local areas
  • Opportunities to meet with service providers
  • Opportunities to deliver ESOL and Community Interpreting 
  • Connect with community transport to help bring people together 
  • Signposting to local facilities and services

 

Community Group Support

  •  Outreach to Mutual Aid Groups to inform the support on offer. 
  • Build links with established support organisations 
  • provide support to the small local groups that are being created

Links With Support Organisations

  • Developing a database of support organisations and the services available for guests and refugees

  • Link via virtual networking

Communities 1st WH CVS Joint Ukraine District Webinar  

On Wednesday 14th September Communities 1st and WHCVS hosted a joint webinar to outline the local district and county wide response of the voluntary, community and public sectors to the Ukraine crisis, highlighting the wraparound community support available.

The webinar was aimed mostly at hosts of Ukrainian guests living in St Albans, Hertsmere, Welwyn and Hatfield.

    CHH Voluntary Sector Response Webinar   

    On Thursday 26 May CHH hosted a webinar to outline the response of the voluntary, community and faith sector in Herts to the Ukraine crisis, highlighting the wrapround community support available across Hertfordshire.

    The webinar was aimed at groups currently supporting Ukrainians and those planning to provide support in the near future, particularly:

    • Voluntary organisations
    • Community groups
    • Faith organisations
    • Local support, such as Facebook groups and mutual aid support groups

    Community Help Herts (CHH) is a partnership of voluntary sector infrastructure organisations (also known as centres for voluntary service, or CVS) providing support to the voluntary sector across Hertfordshire. CHH collates information about support available to Ukrainians and hosts across Hertfordshire. If you are a Ukrainian in the UK or hosting Ukrainian guests, we can give you information about the local support available.
