Emergency and Crisis Service Response
Supporting and providing assistance for emergency and crisis response across Hertfordshire.
Community Help Hertfordshire is working to support communities and VCFSE organisations through the impact of cost of living crisis and ongoing effects of COVID-19 as well as providing a welcoming reception for refugees, asylum seekers, guests and other recent arrivals. We’re aware other situations may yet arise and are ready to respond.
Providing Access:
Working alongside HertsHelp, HCNS and GoVolHerts, Community Help Hertfordshire directly supports communities by providing access to:
- Short or medium-term volunteering opportunities
- Voluntary assistance for individuals
- A safe and managed route into volunteering
We maintain the ‘Hertfordshire with Ukraine’ website providing support, information and resources for our Ukrainian Guests and their hosts.
Community Help Hertfordshire will continue to support emergency responses as required. This includes helping Foodbanks, family, and children centres, finding support and supplies where needed, and coordinating community-wide responses to emerging crises.
Those who need a volunteer’s support can self-refer or be referred by organisations. Our volunteers will support them towards independence, resilience and confidence.
